It’s a Success! Our Food Drive for Share of Vancouver, WA

For a little over a month our office collected food donations for Share’s Backpack program benefiting hungry children and families in Clark County. The food drive was a success because of our employees, their friends and family, and other businesses that donated through our office. Thank you to everyone who dropped off a bag or box. Big or small, your donation was appreciated.

About Share’s Backpack Program
There are hundreds of children in Clark County that receive free breakfast and lunch at our schools on weekdays, but are unsure where they can find a meal on the weekends. Share has developed a program that attempts to curb that hunger—the Backpack Program.

Currently, 1,500+ bags of food are filled with donated, non-perishable, easy-to-prepare food. The bags are then distributed to 45 schools in the Vancouver, Evergreen, Battle Ground, Washougal and Ridgefield School Districts. The bags are discretely given out each Friday for kids to take home on the weekends.
