The Time is Now to Expand Existing Portfolios

Greg L. Goforth, Director of Hospitality for the Coldwell Banker Commercial Jenkins & Associates says the asset class in commercial real estate that can see huge gains in the short term is the Hotel sector. Business is looking good for the next few years based upon limited supply being added over the last few years. The time is now to expand existing portfolios, or to get into the business. Every market is unique but knowing that demand is exceeding supply reduces the risk factor for owners and investors. I back up my opinion with the attached REIT.com article by: Carisa Chappell – Hotel Sector Benefits from Low Supply.

The city is looking for a new tenant for the Slocum House in Esther Short Park. The historic building was occupied by a community theater group for almost 50 years.

“Opportunities like this don’t come along very often,” said Bob Bernhardt of Coldwell Banker Commercial Jenkins & Associates. He sees the house, containing 6,100 square feet in its two floors and basement, as a possible home for a creative technology firm, professional offices, or a gift shop.
